Hutchison Ports ICAVE starts operations in the new port of Veracruz!

We proudly announce that the first operation of Hutchison Ports ICAVE within the modernization of the Port of Veracruz was carried out on July 1st, starting at 6:30 am, receiving the ship “WHITE SHARK” of the Shipping Line CMA – CGM It landed around 8:20 am and unloading officially the first of millions of containers that will arrive at the new ICAVE Terminal.

The expected White Shark, carrying a flag of Malta, an island country of the European Union, consists of a length of 294.12m, a beam of 32.2m and a capacity of 5,095 TEUs, built in 2007, it becomes an icon for the history of foreign trade in Mexico; because his arrival marks a new beginning in the dynamics of a port community in our country and in the world. The port of Veracruz, considered as a millenary gateway to world diversity, gains strength with this great port work.

We have taken solid steps in the right direction towards our precious goal, as an example this Tuesday, June 25th, the ground reception of the first of many containers was carried out in the new Container Terminal. The great team that has been posible this dream considere it as “A small step for Hutchison Ports ICAVE, but a great step for the Mexican Port .
