Hutchison Ports EIT is located in the Port of Ensenada, 110km south of the border with the US. Ensenada is an entrepreneurial port due to its high commercial activity and has an important influence in four of the agricultural centers. and commercial areas of the state: Tijuana, Mexicali, Tecate and the San Quintín Valley.

Due to its strategic location near main roads and the ports of San Diego, Long Beach and Los Angeles, it is considered the logistics center for markets such as the US, Central and South America, and the Middle East.

In the field of environmental protection, Hutchison Ports EIT has a program called “EIT Green”

“EIT Green” strong> aims to implement sustainable development practices and link with the community through care of the environment. This program has several environmental subprograms such as waste separation, emphasizing the concept of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, such as garbage collection, beach cleaning, recycling, battery collection, among other things, from the conversion of equipment and facilities to more environmentally friendly technologies to the recycling of waste water and waste materials.

We train our staff in recycling, as well as in culture to cleanliness and we actively participate with institutions and government agencies.

Among the great initiatives of Hutchison Ports EIT during 2014, it is worth highlighting the modernization project of multipurpose and cruise terminals with the installation of LED lighting, obtaining favorable results not only in the quality of lighting but also in savings of up to 50% of electrical energy consumption thus contributing to reduce part of our environmental footprint, a significant improvement in the lighting of our Terminal and a feeling of security and comfort.
